About Sators
Matt Satorius
Matt Satorius, a.k.a. “Sators”, was born and raised in Minooka, IL, a far southwest suburb of Chicago. In 1997, during his sophomore year at Aurora Christian School, he and his best friend Scott Blankenship founded SRB Services, a web design company. The following three years both Scott and Matt became well known in their circles of influence as being the go-to people for website and design needs.
Matt left SRB Services in 2000 to start his college experience at Moody Bible Institute in downtown Chicago, IL with an influence in Radio Communications. He has been heard as a substitute announcer on WMBI 90.1 FM. While attending Moody in 2001, Matt started Sators.com to facilitate the incoming web design requests and to channel his design talents. Becoming incorporated in 2003 as Sators.com Internet Solutions, Inc., today Sators.com is home to over 75 websites and designs of Matt Satorius and his team of designers and developers.
Matt also has a love for music, bands, and audio engineering. He began organ/piano lessons at age 7, drums at age 9, and teaching himself guitar and bass guitar at age 16. Starting his experience as an audio engineer at Minooka Bible Church in 1997, he continue to learn the technical art of audio throughout high school and college. In 2002 he began touring full time as an audio engineer for Daniel’s Window. A year and a half later, Matt went on to become the road manager and audio engineer for One Time Blind. During this time, he was touring an average of 150 dates per year covering all of the United States.
In August of 2005, Willow Creek Community Church asked Matt to become their full time Next Gen Audio Director, placing him in a role teaching and managing audio engineer volunteers for their middle and high school services. Also throughout this time, Matt would often be seen mixing monitors or front of house for Willow’s midweek New Community services, as well as being a part of Willow’s conferences and larger Easter and Christmas services.
However, Matt’s heart is in touring and traveling with bands. In June of 2007, Matt left Willow Creek to become road manager and audio engineer for Stellar Kart where he continues today.
Matt currently lives in Schaumburg, IL with his wife Jamie.
