Inside the Mind of Sators

I recently upgraded the 2001 PT Cruiser going on 200,000 miles with a new 2010 Scion xB. With that comes the benefit of having a USB plug right in the center console that I can plug my iPhone into and have access to everything iPod related on the in-dash stereo. I have always wanted to get into listening to podcasts, and this has enabled me the convenience I needed for actually listening to a podcast, 15 min here/there during a drive to work or wherever – love it. It’s even so kind to remember where I left off and picks up there if I get interrupted. Awesome.

Here are a few I’ve listened to, and some new ones that have been passed my way that I’m giving a chance:

• The Relevant Magazine
• This American Life
• Radiolab
• The Onion Radio News
• Stuff They Don’t Want You To Know

Any others I should consider?

Listening to some of these definitely gets me fired up to somehow be a part of a podcast in some shape or form, either on mic or behind the scenes.  That hasn’t really manifested itself yet, but I feel the ProTools/Radio Broadcast/Production strings inside of me resonating…maybe some outlet will make itself known.

Boy I was starting to get frustrated – in the iPhone settings, under Mail, Contacts, and Calendar, I have my iPhone setup to show 200 recent messages. Well, for some reason it was only showing me the past few days worth of email that was still in my inbox, not older messages.

Thanks to this blog post, I discovered that if you click on the settings for your Exchange account, there’s a “Mail Days to Sync” option that you can set to unlimited. Success.
